Each thought below is my response/reaction to things that stand out to me during tonight's State of the Union Address, given by Barrack Obama.
No full focus points to elaborate on, just as it comes.

Note I am not a Democrat, I am not a Repbulician. Our government has just pissed me off for the last time and everything they do I think we need to analyze it and scrutinize it if it does not seem to be in the best interest of our country.
The green ribbons: Several members of congress are wearing Green/White Ribbons as a symbol to commit to end gun violence. Green and white are supposedly the colors of Newtown High School. I do not know what they think they will do, but, there is no way you can completely end gun violence. It is a tactic, just as you cannot end terrorism, terrorism is a tactic in order to prove some point.

--really? Income/wages, lack of full time work, that is strong? really? It is weak. Pay has risen, Congressional pay rose, what about ours????!!

--Sorry but that sounds all too familiar. Although, this is true.

WE don't expect you to agree on every issue?? umm, I think there can be some disagreement with that. You all need to get your act together. We cannot continue to let you all sit there and bicker while we all suffer here.
2.5 Trillion deficit reduction? What REDUCTION!!
Cuts are going to be sequestered due to legislation passed in 2011 if Congress could not put together a budget. It was the DEMOCRATS THAT SUGGESTED IT AND PUT IN ACTION!!

Going to push for more affordable care and reforms with the "Sampson-Bowles" Plan... But what about congress?? what will you all do about your health care?
Tax reform.. How about we move to a flat tax? there will be no loop holes and everyone pays a "fair share" as you want. Don't tax the heck out of us!
Encouraging pushing Manufacturing in the US= GOOD! About time! But we need to invest in education to make sure that our people are educated properly to think and create these promising technologies.
Everyone's energy bill is lower? I have seen/heard nothing but rate increases in utilities.
Climate change that we are experiencing we felt similar patterns over 100 years ago, our cycles in patterns. We only started recording and keeping track of such patterns within that time.

Increase the availability and the quality of our education system and opportunities. Referred to Germany graduating "high schoolers" with the equivalent of an associates/technical degree. THANK YOU!!

IMMIGRATION REFORM:
Stronger border security-Yes
More patrols - Yes
Background checks, penalties, learning English- YES!
Cut waiting periods? ummm no lets get our people working and going on first.
Even at $9.00/hour and 40 hours a week that would not do anything WHEN THE PRICES ARE ALWAYS RISING!!! I barely scrape by at 12/hour with 150 in taxes, 100 in deductions!

WE are calling on Iran and N. Korea to stand down and prevent them from arms, BUT WE ARE COMMITTING TO BUILDING OUR DEFENSE SYSTEMS???
WE are on schedule to pull out of Afghanistan, but we are battling cyber war? Hello, one problem at a time, that is how we got in this mess!!!

Improvements to our voting system: This is necessary, some people were cut and denied their rights to vote after standing in line for hours this past election because the "time deadline" ended.
GUN-VIOLENCE:
BACKGROUND CHECKS WILL NOT STOP CRIMINALS FROM SEEKING GUNS. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BUY A GUN FOR A CRIMINAL, A BACKGROUND CHECK WILL DO NOTHING, AND THERE FOR THEY ARE ALSO A CRIMINAL!!!!

A police officer who fought back through 12 gunshots to help protect those in the Temple in Wisconsin
A nurse who focused on protecting the 20 babies under her care during Sandy.
